About The Knights
Thanks to the efforts of Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven and some of his parishioners, the Connecticut state legislature on March 29, 1882, officially chartered the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society.
The Knights of Columbus has grown to more than 14,000 councils and 1.8 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam and Saipan.
About Our Council
We were founded in 1963 in Mequon, Wisconsin. Currently, we work with Lumen Christi Parish, at its two sites in Mequon and Thiensville. We do a number of activities each year, from Coats for Kids to Tootsie Roll sales to brat fries to our annual Spaghetti Dinner in the spring.
Our meetings are the third Tuesday of each month (7 PM), in the downstairs meeting rooms of Lumen Christi Parish. (Due to COVID 19, we may have a meeting online or in another location - please check with the council first.) Please join us!
If you have questions, please email our Grand Knight.
